Zucchini Pistachio Spice Cake With Lime Frosting

I know what you’re thinking. Is this food blogger a bag lady in disguise? Did she scatter birdseeds all over a cake that was served to her vertebrate guests? Yes, it’s true; the Central Park Pigeon Lady from Home Alone 2 has a strong desire for baked goods.

This is a mildly spiced zucchini (and I’m only calling it that because how fugly does courgette sound/look/read next to zucchini? Plus I love Italian food, so I think this grants me access to their terminology) cake studded with chunks of pistachio and the dust that accumulated from chopping said chunks, mixed with ground almonds.

Salted Caramel Millionaire Shortbread

Getting a bit chilly isn’t it? Is there a herd of food bloggers out there who totally love the arrival of cool air? The sooner the cringe worthy gowns and Primarni pyjamas come out the better. I can already smell the tea mug on bed linen Instagrams.

What square of confectionary, weighing in at around 400 calories (don’t be afraid) would best accompany such Instagrams? Salted caramel Millionaires Shortbread. Noticeably.

Deep Dish Doughnut Peach Pie

I baked a "farewell summer" pie - I am that sad. I used really sweet, short & fat peaches because their harvest stops at summer’s end. I thought this would make the pie sentimental, especially for summer, because thats completely normal. I bagged 6 of these for £1.86 in the Turkish Food Centre! I went to WholeFoods where they were charging 2 for £1. The choice was simple. Summer, it was nice while it sort of lasted.
